Hi, eventually I will get my ring irl up here. But for now this is a very good likeness.
My ring is somewhat different in that the prongs are little v`s, and really dont stand out at all. Also I dont have diamonds on the insides just along the top of the ring. My ring also sits a little lower.
I ended up being very happy with the ring as a whole. The setting has gone a long way to conceal flaws and show off what can be showed off even if it is tricking the eye!!!
eg. my princess has a large flat table, which is not noticible to the eye in this setting because it seems `lifted` up from the ring. Thus an impression of visual height in the table is given to the casual viewer. eg. A bezel setting would have highlighted the flat top look.
Also the openness of the ring structure with the cut out designs on the sides lets in as much light as possible which really helps the diamond as much as possible, while still concealing most of the side view of the stone which is definately not eye clean.
The halo helps with overall sparkle and as a bonus helps protect the diamond inside.
I must say that response to my ring has been amazing, with many mock fannings and OMG`s. I think the setting is really the star in this story. It is truely a case of dressing to suit your figure!!!!!
