I am so frustrated. I took about 25 pictures of the thing yesterday and today and have spent far too much time at this keyboard trying to resize and rename and upload TO NO AVAIL. I want to scream! You''d think I was the village idiot here but geesh, I keep resizing and renaming and it rejects them due to a larger file size.
Duh, guess I will have to wait until my husband gets home and enlist his help. He is not going to think this is fun...

I think I''ve finally figured it out!
Here''s another pic. Now, these are not so good but you will get the idea.

crown height: i have no idea! i wish i did. but they did not have sarin reports, etc. and i decided that i liked it anyway, that it was plenty lively and i was drawn to it from the very beginning. it was the first emerald cut stone i really ever noticed, and it was The One that drew me away from my quest for the oval cut stone. I kept visiting it in the store, while looking for another, "better" stone, until finally I realized: hey, I love this stone, really, so why don''t I just get it? so, i did. the impetus for this was a "big birthday" for me and a 15th wedding anniversary, and with the fact that my former 1 ct oval cut stone was stolen from my bedroom 5 years ago...and my husband finally agreed to buy me a big stone. i am very pleased and thankful for it.
the setting it''s in was meant to be temporary. but then i got drawn to the 7-stone shared prong ring by Tiffany which Whiteflash is making for me and so I decided to keep the EC in the simple solitaire setting (I''ll upgrade to platinum, I decided) and wear it with the "anniversary-style" 7-stone band and it looks really stunning together. I love the contrast of the rectangle against the round stones, quite classic and geometric, which suits me. With the round stones I''ll expect more sparkle so together, I''m sure it will all be quite sparkly. This EC does throw sparkles of its own. I love moving it around in the car and watching the fire flashing against the windows and doors (oops, not while driving,though, ahem).
I''ll find a couple more pics that maybe show the stone off a little better.
I''m really thrilled with it and so thankful to all of you who assisted me in this search!

OH MY STARS, that baby is STUNNING and soooooooooooo gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! I just love it! Love it in that setting, love the L:W ratio, ESPECIALLY LOVE THE SIZE and I think the band you having made to go with it will be the ICING ON THE CAKE!!!!! Awesome job!

storm, you helped me a lot (and kaleigh, chrono, ellen, and others whose names are escaping me now) ...i''m sure it isn''t the "perfect" stone (i''d wanted perfect) ; i can tell the crown height isn''t that high and the polish could be better, but i really love it!
here comes a few more pictures. now that i finally figured out how to do it!
the tiffany-like band by whiteflash is gonna make a killer combo! i decided to just go for it and get the 7-stone instead of the 5-stone and get the platinum, already and quite vascillating over it.

that last picture that looked like glare was really a beautiful flash of color in the morning sun.
this one is in low light and you can see the shape of it, and crown height, i think. it''s not too high, i suspect.
when i compared it to an emerald cut stone in tiffany of equal carat weight, that crown was only slightly higher, i could tell. not appreciably so, and my stone was just as lively as the $39,000 tiffany EC!
