Finally narrowed it down to 2 (unless you all tell me to start from scratch)

Diamond 1:

Excellent / H / SI1 / No fluor / Depth = 61.9 / Table = 57 / Crown = 34.5 / Pav = 40.8 / HCA = 1.4

Diamond 2:

Excellent / I / SI1 / No fluor / Depth = 60.4 / Table = 58 / Crown = 33.5 / Pav = 40.8 / HCA = 1.0

Thoughts?

Both fine from the pics!

Price difference? Does one vendor have the setting you want? Does one vendor have more generous policies/guarantees/warranties than the other? Is one local? When were the reports issued - post report numbers and exact ct wt?

I think both diamonds are wonderful & I don't think you would make a bad choice w one over the other. I would factor in the points Yssie made above into which one you buy. Trade in/up, the setting, return policy, etc.

First one is $4150, 0.93ct. Report 2156507885 (7/2013).

Second one is $3900, 0.9ct. Report 2141984596 (9/2012).

They're both from B2C, and I'm looking to only buy the stone. I'm thinking of putting it in this setting: www.gabrielny.com/engaged/style/ER8052W44JJ

I personally like the look of the 1st one better...but it's up to you!

Pic 1, look at the 6 o'clock position. I can't get to the report from this computer, but what's going on in that pic? Abrasion? Or is it just a hair or piece of fluff? Maybe that makes pic 2 more attractive?

Not sure what it is - the report says twinning wisp and feather but there's no plot. I'm going to call GIA tomorrow to get add'l colour.

Would a well placed prong cover up most of that?

IMO yes it would but get their gemologist to inspect it and give their opinion.

They both look fine but I would probably go with #1. Ask the gemologist if its eye-clean. If its not I might go with #2...sort of a
mind clean thing because I bet a well placed prong would cover the inclusion.
