Pics/video: hand-carved wax + stones for my graduation ring!

I just saw the hand-carved wax for my 7-stone full bezel graduation ring yesterday! I took a few pics and a video with my phone; sorry for the quality. The jeweler, Jason, from craft-revival said 1-1.5 weeks to see the ring! This is my first real piece of jewelry I'm buying so I'm very excited! More details later - on to the pictures!

Thanks Aprilbaby and aloe I'm very excited! I feel like the pictures look a little bit more bulky than in real life. The jeweler mentioned that due to the wax being a flat color and leaving a little extra wax for 'wiggle room' it will look even more delicate once done. I hope I can get the video up soon!

It's a size 6. The diamonds are G/H SI1 (eye clean and sparkly!) with natural sapphires. It will be done in a 14kt white gold without nickel (he called it X1?).

I haven't had to put down any deposits or anything yet. He said not until it's all finished. Is this typical for custom pieces? I was ready to put some money down yesterday! So far I'm really happy with craft-revival. They beat out several other places for quotes and you can't beat being able to see the stones/wax in person!

I think so. From my experience, at least, when they made your engagement ring I didn't have to give them any money until it was all finished.

This looks like a lovely ring. I'm terrible at imagining what final designs will look like, so the band on a finger with diamonds in, really helps!

I'm not sure I've seen a video of a wax cast before - it does make a difference when you can see the sparkles in the wax!

You're creating a ring that's worthy of the achievement it commemorates!
