Post here pics of your brightest, most vivid gems i.e. those with the most saturated and intense color (loose or set, doesen''t matter, just show me the color...).

Let''s watch some FIREWORKS

I don't have the pictures on this computer, but images of my paraibas, red spinel, tsavorites, spessartite and yellow danburite are floating around here.

Great thread. I can''t wait to see all the wonderful stones that are out there!

I knew I''ll use some wrong terms - I meant to say the most vibrant colors i.e. anything hot, neon, so colored that it hurts to look at...

Sorry for the confusion.

BTW very nice pieces these are, but I just had diferent things in mind (P. S. Love the tsavo ring, and great to see pre and post setting pics of that aqua).

Catmom, you''ve got great stuff. And of course thats just a bit of your collection.

Thanks innerkitten!

Okay ma re then ignore everything but the pink sapphire. It's pretty bright and "hot" colored. I wish Widget was still here so she could post her fantastic pariba tourmaline ring.

Here''s my spess.

Michelle, I LOVE your collection, I always enjoy looking at it. Makes me drool!!!

I hate you.

Though I say that in the nicest way possible.

Linda,
I thought you didn''t like orange?

This is my favourite Andamooka Semi-Black Opal. Not sure if this qualifies as a gemstone that glows but in real life it''s breathtaking and the colour play is fascinating.

Here are 2 Paraiba Tourmalines. This is 3.45ct and has some inclusions (that look worse in this photo than IRL) but the colour is neon neon neon!

This is an 18.34ct Paraiba Tourmaline. I love the colour, it glows in all lights (especially dim lighting) and for it's size it's remarkably clean. Unfortunately it's poorly cut but I guess you can't have everything!

Lastly, here's a Columbian Emerald that I recently bought and had set. I can't photograph this so it shows the true colour and it's more green than the photo shows BUT it glows and has a look of Paraiba Tourmaline about it. Apologies for the blurry pic!

Just wanted to say thank you to everybody for sharing their wonderful photos!

Unfortunately it gives me all sorts of ideas and I'm going to be on bread and water very soon I think!

Catmom I LOVE LOVE LOVE your colour change sapphire! Every time I see it I get all jealous! Care to share where/ when/ how/ why you acquired it?

Can I play?

Is this VIBRANT enough?

Thanks Linda!

LovingDiamonds, your opal is wonderful as are your other pieces!

Thanks Lupinbunny! 2 years ago I had the stone sourced first by my jeweler then he set it in that Parade setting. My wonderful hubby had started to replace my almost black mall sapphires with a gorgeous sapphire pendant and I wanted a beautiful ring to match. [I''m still working on the earrings and bracelet] We looked at this color change and another larger ceylon blue cushion that was absolutely gorgeous but this one won out. The color change is facinating.

LS, it''s beyond VIBRANT!

But Harriet, I LOVE LOVE LOVE your Spess!!! It looks like it could glow in the dark.

Thanks, Catmom.
