Picking the best Princess for my budget

First off this site has been a HUGE help. I tend to research just about anything I do very thoroughly and for this type of purchase I want to make sure I get it right.

I'm looking for a princess cut diamond for an engagement ring. After looking at some rings locally I have determined that I am able to see inclusions fairly well so in order to be happy with the purchase I need a fairly eye clean diamond.

I found two that seem to be a pretty solid match for what I want. My budget is around 4500 for the stone itself.

Those two diamonds seem very similar. I was trying to figure out which aset image is preferable since they both have a fair amount of red although it seems to be distributed slightly different between the two stones. Not sure which would be better.

If anyone was willing to chime in on whether they are good choices, if I'm missing something that I should know, or any alternative diamonds that are a better stone for the money I would be eternally grateful!

Thanks again!

Chris

Both are excellent choices and you cannot go wrong with either as far as cut goes! I think I'd choose H color in a princess, though, as I color can sometimes be visibly tinted in some stones.

I'd choose the H even though the dimensions are a tad smaller. The dimensions of the I are a bit off-square to the point that it will probably be visually noticeable. Also, even though I was originally very happy with my I princess (it was a great money saver), I've become more color-sensitive over time and wish I would have gone with something in the F-H range.
