Picking stones, take 2

Today I went back to my jeweler after my EGL- certification concerns. He let me compare my 1.20 J VS2 with a 1.01 GIA K VS2. I also looked at a forever mark diamond along with some .70 stones with higher clarity both GIA and EGL. He understood my concerns and mentioned that EGL does have looser grading but with all his years in the business he is certain my stone was grade accurately and was between a J and K. The selection process was sort of blind, we looked at the stones one by one and then compared them under the light, microscope, and natural light. I eliminated stones by what I liked and came down the GIA and EGL, the deciding factor was the cut. I actually ended up picking my original EGL stone. I fell in love with it, it shined brighter and the color was actually better than the GIA K stone! Now I'm extremely excited, lets hope my boyfriend doesn't make me wait too Long.
