I had originally settled on the 1.614k stone (budget for entire ring is $15k) but now I'm tempted to go a bit bigger, even if I go over budget by $1k or so. Would you go bigger, and if so, which stone?

Are are eyeclean, but the bigger stones have VS2 clarity but I color compared to SI1 and H color for the 1.614k stone.

I have an I/VS2 ACA, so based on my (amazing)experience with mine, I'd recommend the biggest I/VS2 ACA you can afford!

Agree with @HappyNewLife. The biggest I/VS2 ACA, you won't be disappointed!!! I have a 2.97 I VS1 ACA and I love it

I also agree the 1.79 seems like the nicest one out of the two largest, with only a 0.25 mm difference it doesn't appear to be much. I also prefer the inclusion position on the 1.79 as opposed to the cluster on the 1.82. Save the difference in price and put towards the setting

I'd pick 1.79ct. I'm a sucker for a small table + a high crown..

This diamond has the best inclusion plot with clean under table area, also, I like the smaller table and higher crown.
