Pic of Lucida split shank

ooh I like it! is it on the T&Co website?

OH! I LIKE IT!!! I didn't think there would be pave, but this is very cool!

I didn't know what to expect because I hadn't heard that it would be pave, but it's really lovely!

Nope, not yet. Probably not for a few months. The photo I saw looked like a Princess cut. This picture looks like a Lucida.

So pretty! I love how delicate the pace split shank is. I just tried on the Tiffany Embrace earlier in the week and that one is pretty incredible in person.

i am LOVING this ring... i liked the original lucia, but this is just so so so gorgeous!

Yes it is. I tried on a 2.5 carat embrace in the fifth ave. store. It was HUGE. :-)

It is. But I still feel slightly partial to original Lucida. Though I might change my mind once I see this in person.

I like it too  im a big lucida fan, though i think the original might still edge out the new one...the only thing for it is a trip to tiffs to decide for suresies

That setting is perfect for the Lucida! I love it!! :appl:

I would have liked to see a halo on it!

They make a halo setting now for any Lucida over 3 carat. Ithink it looks over the top. Not my taste.--More like a cocktail ring than an ering.

Pictures please!

I don't have pics but it's in the square catalog. :wavey:

do you have a catalog that you could scan pics in for us? :D

I love this ring so much and if I had the money I would chose it over any other ring.

This is going to be one popular ring.

Here is another Tiffany cushion split shank ring I adore. I saw it in a Martha Stewart wedding magazine.

ooh charmypoo do you know anything else about that cushion split shank? the diamonds on the prongs make it so fancy!!

I wish I knew more but I don't. It's a dreamy setting but I did get to see it in real life at the NYC T&CO - it was so pricey that people weren't allowed to try it on. I didn't ask.

ok, interesting...i didn't see it on their website? must be quite the special ring :)

charmypoo I keep coming back to look at that Tiffany ring you posted! the pave work is incredible! i wish there were more pics of it floating around...

Me too. I think I will have Leon make that one day ... I am actually wondering if I should have went with that instead of the design I went with. I figured I wanted something more simple for my e-ring but who knows.

charmy if you have him make it PLEASE post lots of pics from every possible angle!!!

this is tempting! I've got a .80 lucida which I love, and I've always loved the setting, also I don't feel it's too wide with a .80 diamond (the bands on the lucidas over 1 carat get too thick for my taste) but what i didn't realize is i'd get so paranoid about getting scratches on the band because its so shiny and smooth, i'm always checking it
well once these come out i'll have to see it in person and see how much it would cost to get my lucida re-set!

I agree! My sense is that putting a halo around it makes it more of a cocktail, RHR. OTOH, it could also be a Real Housewives of New Jersey look where bigger always = better! :-)

I bet it will cost north of $5K to get the actual reset by Tiffany, especially just after it's debuted.

Oh gosh, so I found out some more about this one. I was in the Tiffany store and they said that this ring (a prototype) was making the rounds in their blue book party (but was being shown in carat weight of over 3) and the woman I spoke with confirmed that the diamond looks very square in this setting.--Much more so than in the original setting. That's code for: "It looks like a princess cut."

Just my interpretation. We will have to wait for it to come out. But, if you want a Lucida, don't you want the "wide proud corners"? Otherwise, how great is it compared to a Princess cut? I know there are other cool things about the cut, but the overall impression created with a squared off stone will be very similar to the Princess cut. Again, just how I see it. Only way to know for sure is to see it in person.
