My attempts to create this design in photoshop looked pretty silly and I could really use someone''s help.

This is a picture of a 7.5mm cz on my 4.5 sized hand. I would like it to see what a split shank that has a curved pave shank like the pic below and single pointy prongs like tea green''s pic. Thank you so much!!

Here''s the curved split shank I like:

and here''s the prongs I like:

Thanks again!

something cooking kc?
Ooooooh, thank you so much Irina!! You did an awesome job, you are the photoshop queen here on PS.

It also looks huge on my finger!!!!! I am very excited about what the size looks like on me for about a ~1.6 carat stone. I was worried I would have to go even bigger...but I''m satisfied with how a 7.5mm stone looks.

Ladies, I''m not going to kiss and tell until it becomes something more serious, sorry

. It''s still in it''s infancy.

I don''t know what you have cookin'', lady ... but if it''s anything like Irina''s fab photoshop -- check out the new Richard Landi collection. He had a BREATHTAKING version of Daniel K''s split crown setting. Totally FABOO -- I was gonna recommend it to fellow-split-crown-setting-lover Mrssalvo - but I think she''s letting her hubby take over.

He even shows it with rounds (landi) ... check it out!!!!!!

See ... see ... isn''t it magnificent???

And here it is in his catalogue ... with a round!!

KC, I love the one Irinia did for you; that would be gorgeous!!!

Yes, just beautiful! I don''t think Richard Landi is less than Leon. I know I priced a split shank setting last year and it was $4000-5000. This setting may be less because it looks like a little less metal than the one I priced.

I have NO idea! Someone else linked to it during one of the antique repro threads & I saw the "click to see new rings" area and voila!

I''m still not sure if I like this curved look or whether I like split shanks that go straight back better like the setting I have now.

holy cow deco, that setting is very close the the DK version. man, I still just absolutely adore it.

KC, that photoshop Irina did for you looks pretty darn fab too.

Kcoursolle, I like the ring that Deco posted a lot, but I can''t find your current ring to look at. Can you give me a link or a photo?

Also, on my other other thread about the yellow diamond, you inspired me and I looked at some split shanks and split crowns yesterday and today at a variety of jewelry stores. Hmmm... some of them I really like!

Would you be wearing this theoretical ring WITH your five stone band ... or on your right hand.

I prefer splitCROWN versions WITH a wedding band, and because I love how flow up to the diamond flatters the center stone .... like VAULTING up to it & presenting the stone.

HOWEVER -- I love your existing, Britney-Spears-Orignial-Ering-Inspired (am I right?) splitSHANK too. Which would look smashing as a stand alone RHR ...

So curious ... what is UP, girl??

ETA: I also think of splitCROWNS with rounded stones ... rounded flow for curved edges -- rounds, cushions etc ... splitSHANKS with square stones, rectangular, octagons

Kcoursolle, OF COURSE! Now that I see your ring I remembered it instantly, but being *senile* at 36 I just couldn''t place it earlier, LOL!

It would "theoretically" be the only ring on my hand.

I see what you are saying about the rounded thing matching. This makes sense. However, there''s something about the straight bands that I like, I think it almost makes it look like an engagement set or something. I also think it makes the center stone look bigger....but this might be my imagination.
