I always wanted to add a chameleon diamond to the collection (changes colour with heat), but figured I wouldn't be torching a stone that often to enjoy the effect. This might be a fun alternative if they are made available to retail market more often

Pale Argyle pinks are affordable. You can cook them yourself on a gas stove and with some cheap boracic acid to coat the diamond so it does not burn.

I'd need a magnifying glass as well to see the result of the pinks I can afford! I actually like the base colour of chameleons. Still on the list!

Aw cripes. Add “long-lasting color change” to “magnetic” and “glow in the dark” for the properties of my future diamond purchases.
