MY PHILOSOPHY OF HOUSECLEANING!
I don''t do windows because ...
I love birds
and don''t want one to run into a clean window
and get hurt.
I don''t wax floors because ...
I am terrified a guest
will slip and get hurt
then I''ll feel terrible
( plus they may sue me.)
I don''t mind the dust bunnies because ...
They are very good company,
I have named most of them,
and they agree with everything I say.
I don''t disturb cobwebs because ...
I want every creature
to have a home of their own.
I don''t Spring Clean because ...
I love all the seasons
and don''t want the others
to get jealous.
I don''t pull weeds
in the garden because ..
I don''t want to get
in God''s way,
HE is an excellent designer!
I don''t put things away because ...
I will never be able
to find them again.
I don''t do gourmet meals
when I entertain
because ...
I don''t want my guests
to stress out over what
to make when
they invite me
over for dinner.
I don''t iron because ...
I choose to believe them
when they say ''Permanent Press''.
I don''t stress much on anything because ...
''A Type'' personalities
die young
and I want to stick around
and become a wrinkled up crusty ol'' woman!!!!

I don''t mind the dust bunnies either - the cat entertains me when she paws at them....so I figure, why deny myself AND the cat the entertainment? FI hates my cleaning philosophy....oh well

OMGosh! You should see my house right now! I''m just not a fastidious housekeeper. I''ve tried to be, I REALLY have, but it goes against my nature. Although, right now it''s a bit much even for me. My husband and the kids brought all the decorations up and they are sitting on the family room floor. Plus, the tree fell over after the decorations were put on it, so we are in the middle of making a better base for it. The base was made out of plastic -- you know how they are usually really hard plastic? Well this was a soft plastic and it literally twisted under the weight of the tree (prolly made in China). I think they used the kind of plastic that breaks down really fast. Oh, well, hubby''s handy. ALSO, my mom asked if they could make anything for us before Christmas to decorate with and I said an advent calendar. They bought this really complicated felt kit with 20 million sequins and beads, plus you have to cut out all the teeny tiny pieces of felt to sew together. They decided they would not have time to make it and gave me the kit. So I spent 3 days putting the basic calendar together. I''m not sewing all those little things that go into the pockets, though. THAT''S NUTS!!! And I have laundry piling up -- hey Madam, we need to make up a line about laundry!!! My husband keeps adding things to my list of errands -- just when I get his prescription picked up, his touch up paint picked up from the car dealer, I''ve had an extra conference with the school for my kindergartner (he''s not in trouble), and gone to the store, we''ve run out of something else not on the list and he needs me to go by the DeWalt store and pick up a blower blade. Why am I on the computer when I have so much to do? Because it''s not all going to get done no matter how well I manage my time and I''m REBELLING!!!! I have everyone left to shop for, my hair needs to be done but my hair dresser left the salon and I can''t find her, I''m having my period and I just want to scream!!!

I''m going crazy with the holidays. Every year I go crazy. Thanks for the cute little post, Madam Bijoux! Much needed comic relief!

Ha ha Madam B -- I will be thinking of you tomorrow as I try to whip my house into shape in time for my annual client party. The invite says we start at 5:00 and I know by quarter of there will be people knocking on my door so I better be quick about it!

Actually hubby cleaned all the windows and the other day I heard a huge bang and it turned out a bird flew into the window. No dead birds but it scared me!
