Is anyone familiar with ''Renissance Platinum'' or Philip Press? Have any of you seen any of their ring settings in person or know how they compare in workmanship and price to Tacori settings?

I stumbled upon their website and their collection seems quite impressive from the photos, but I have no idea how they compare in reality either in quality or in price to Tacori.

Thanks for your help,

Matt

I wanted to go see them in person, but haven''t gotten around to it yet. I have talked to them about some of the prices of their semi-mounts when I was just starting my
search. They were very nice and helpful and told me that I could come in and talk to Philip personally. I thought that was nice. If you can get to L.A. I would go into their
showroom. I believe that have a good reputation. Give them a call and talk to them.

Hi, Matt. I had a ring (style EM302 Marq) custom made from Renaissance Platinum in 2003...it was extremely beautiful and absolutely detailed! I loved it because it was very dainty (I have a size 4 1/2 finger). Anyway, fast forward to today and my second marriage...I am going to get another Renaissance Platinum/Philip Press ring made as soon as I find my perfect stone (I think I want a heart instead of a marquise this time). At the time of my original order, the custom job for both the engagement ring (minus the center stone) and the wedding band was $6100 total. The pear sidestones that came with the engagement ring were .31 carats each, F color, VS1 clarity (my marquise was D, IF). I have since sold the diamonds from my ring, but just let me know if you would like to see pictures of my original setting (platinum with 22K filigree).
