I'm looking for a small 0.23 - 0.3 ct diamond for a diamond bezel set pendant from BN. I've searched their inventory and I'm somewhat limited to what is available to be shipped before valentines day. I know, I totally procrastinated this year. She likes the Tiffanys DBTY but I figured I can pay a little more through BN and get a better stone. The price of the Tiffanys DBTY with 0.07 ct in sterling silver is $575. She said it doesnt necessarily have to be a Tiffanys piece. She just wants something in this style.

Bezel Set Solitaire Pendant Setting in 14k White Gold

Diamond 2 (HCA 1.3):

Diamond 3 (suggested by the BN rep](HCA 3.9):

Thanks!

Blue Nile links don't work, I'm not sure why, so it makes it difficult to view the stones, sorry! Maybe you could post the stats?

What's the budget?

All three of the stones appear to be BN virtual inventory. So only sample images on the listings. The third one appears to have been sold already.

You have to cut and paste the links into a new window to get them to work...yes, it's a pain! :(

I would probably talk to Yuketiel at ID Jewelry and see what he can get you. He can make sure the stones are eye-clean and cut well.

Do you have to have a certified stone for this? At this size I would trust Yuketiel to get you a well cut stone without a cert if you are
trying to keep the cost down(but that is me)...unless you want it for trade up purposes.

My budget is around $600-700 total which leaves about $400 for the diamond.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'd prefer a certified stone even if it is tiny. Im really limited by what I will be able to receive before Valentines day. BN still has some stones that they will set and ship before 2/14.

I would go with James Allen instead of Blue Nile. You can still get a diamond that has an AGS or GIA certificate, AND you can see the actual stone you are buying. I also think their version of the bezel pendant is prettier than Blue Nile's, and it's on sale for $247 (different loop options, too): https://www.jamesallen.com/fine-jewelry/design-your-own-pendants/14k-white-gold-bezel-diamond-pendant-mounting-item-55845

They have quite a few stones that are True Hearts branded in your price range, too. You can go bigger, or higher clarity/color, or stay quite a bit under budget:

https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/0.40-carat-h-color-si1-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-1299477

There are currently 81 diamonds that are True Hearts, D-I color, VS1-SI1.

Edited to add: I now realize you are trying to get this BEFORE Valentine's Day. Bummer.

I think when I bought my 0.30 ct (each) studs from Brian Gavin, the stones cost about $650 each (a little less, I had a promo code). They sell smaller certed/AGS Ideal stones than most of the other places.

Thanks for all your help. I just ended up buying her something small from Tiffanys since I need it before Valentines day. I know its not the best for my money but the Tiffanys name does add a few bonus points. haha. I'll give myself more time to pick out a nicer stone for her next gift.

Sounds like you made a good choice! I also love getting something in those little blue boxes.
