I have an asscher cut peridot that is just under 7mm, would 4.4mm asscher diamonds on the sides look ok or would that be too small next to the peridot?

I think a lot depends on your finger size and how you feel about coverage. How you feel the line is drawn between three stone vs accents. Also -how angled they are set and what plane the three tables are on.

This centerstone is close to your center mm.
Modified to approx the 4.4 look on the sides.

Hope this helps a bit!

I don't know about judging proportions very well but if you don't have the diamonds to place next to the peridot you can visualize it here. Hopefully others can be more helpful!

Thank you, I was hoping it would show the stones in a 3 stone setting but it didn't.

I have a three stone assher in diamonds. For reference center is about 5.5mm, sides are 4.4mm, ring is size 8.25.

I think with the size difference with your peridot, the sides will appear more like accent stones, and will let your peridot be the star of the show. As someone mentioned before, desired finger coverage plays into it quite a bit.

Depending on your finger size, I think 4.4 accent asshers would be really cool, and not compete with your peridot.

I hope this helps!
