Hi! I''m new to this particular section of pricescope and I need some assistance. I found this ring on diamond bistro and LOVE it. I''ve talked to the seller and said that it is stamped as being 10K gold and says she has been working with gemstones for 6 years and tested the diamond, gold, and peridot herself. Thoughts?

Heres the link, sorry I don''t know how to make it a hyperlink

advice is needed asap since I''m already in contact with the seller about purchasing and if I have an issue I kind of need to say so now.

Also anyone have advice on how to pay for things through diamond bistro. Send her a check? Use paypal? I''ve never really bought jewelry online before so I''m a bit clueless.

If you love the color and the style, for $25 I''d go for it. Otherwise, the color of the peridot is kind of a funky dark olive, and the stone is windowed.

Can she get closer pics of the diamonds?

I like the color. I actually love olive green. I prefer it over the lighter more grassy green peridots.

What do you mean the stone is windowed?

You can see her skin through the center of the stone. If you rest a stone on a piece of newspaper (or anything else with typing on it), and you can see the words/letters through it--thats a window. Does that make sense?

The window must be very large if you can still see it after it is set. For $25, I don''t expect a bright green peridot but would wonder if you can handle seeing a dead zone in the middle of the ring? It will appear distinctively different from the rest of the gesmtone - in fact, you will likely see your own skin through the stone. I do not like this effect.

Just wanted to say that for $25, it''s not a big risk and if you didn''t like the stone, you could always replace it with another round stone (another peridot perhaps). Also wanted to say I love your avitar of the Gallilean sattelite Callisto.
