Is this a regular cushion that is a perfect square? Or is it a Square H&A?

Do you recommend a perfect square for a Cushion? Or is there something lacking? Whats the perfect ratio?

Thanks all.

Blue Nile does not sell square H&A; only GOG carries that branded cut. BN also does NOT provide real pictures of the diamonds, which you MUST see before buying. How do you know that this cushion is the modern style, crushed ice or antique style? I recommend sticking with GOG or WF or ERD or basically any vendor who provides pictures and testing to prove that the cushion is a dazzler.

BTW, my avatar is a perfectly square cushion.

A cushion does not have to be a perfect square to be a sparkler. There are also many beautiful rectangular ones, but my preference is for square stones.

There''s no perfect ratio, it''s all about preference.

if you''re wanting a square cushion you''ll need to stay close to a 1:1 ratio...

They do for their Signature Line (rounds, Asschers, Emeralds, and Princesses).

Based on the GIE report that cushion is a square as it gets, it's 1.1.

As for your question on the perfect ratio, as others have said, it's TOTALLY subjective. Be open to different things though. When I first started looking I was adamant that I didn't want to look at anything that wasn't 1.10 to 1.12. When I finally viewed one in person it wasn't what I expected and I ended up with a 1.21 which I absolutely love! Point being, I can't emphasize enough that you need to see cushions in person. They vary way too much on paper.

If I am not mistaken..., GIA categorize square up to the ratio of 1 : 1.049....
