BLUEMAN33, I would please like you to clarify and comment on this:

Icelady - I find it insulting of you to take a comment completely out of context to make what ever point you are trying to make.
denverappraiser - Whiteflash is doing nothing wrong here.
Cutnut - MrB is way out of line
Fedakin - It is unreasonable to expect every reseller to have every stone.
Mara - Blue...your title on this thread is entirely inappropriate in my opinion
stormrider - this thread and the title are very unfair to wf
jennifer90210 - such a tempest in a teapot over one customer''s complaint is an absurd use of the forum
daimondsbree - Delete this thread and the other one. Whiteflash should not suffer for this
stormrideragain - These threads remind me of yellow journalism with inflammatory headlines
researcher - Both of these threads bashing WF were done in poor taste
scoobydoogirl - NO, you really don''t get it

How''s it feel?

I opened your whiteflash thread thinking maybe consumer sanctions against them from the BBB, or they were going bankrupt and stealing money or being sued. Instead you were teeing off b/c one of their customers tweeked your nose. And no I am not a customer, but John has helped me with questions and replied promptly and your subject would have given me the wrong impression if I were first here today. Let me just ask. Did you even bother to contact a rep through email here? Did you reply to John or Leslie or through an existing thread? Did you call? Or maybe you decided to make your day all fun with mischief by calling them out on this simple deal. Want some cheese with that whine?

I probably wasted my time writing this, but it hit a nerve. I used to have a girlfriend who turned simple stuff into HIGH DRAMA. This reminds me of that. Brrr.

Let's do not get personal, guys.

Since majority of folks found the titles of the topics inadequate to the content, I renamed them.

Btw, what would you think if the diamonds that are in vendors inventories or have higher chance to be available will be shown at the top of the search results?

Great Idea Leonid!!!

much better.

Speaking of topics, I'm not crazy about the topic of this thread either - two wrongs don't make a right.

Great idea Leonid!
Or could you add a note/ icon/ etc, so that people could still have the search ordered by price/ catat/ etc, yet still see the probability of the stone being available?

I think I'd have deleted the whole thread and PM'd it's author to keep it to themselves.

But Im going to give a comment on it anyway--I dislike Blueman a great deal because all his posts are just belittling and dismissing anyone else's opinions and experiences with his idea of fact, not actual fact or experience. He's not helpful in any way to anyone else and it seems to me that he is just a troll who got bored and decided to mess around.

I thought this forum was about diamonds? Given five minutes, any person reading the offending threads would come to a quick conclusion. Let's quit pouring energy into this. The more inflammatory posters are ignored, the quicker they usually fade away. Don't you think?

I don't think anyone's posts should be deleted completely unless they are completely groundless. For instance, Blueman's ways may be offensive, but he did have some valid complains, which if taken in the right spirit, can lead to improvements in the system. Like Leonid will be thinking about how to push the inventory that the vendors have in stock up on the search database?

However, perhaps there can be a system where offensive posts can be reported and put into cold storage (where nobody can see it) for a couple of hours. This will give the webmaster/moderator some time to clean it up.

Of course, where edits have been made, the webmaster/moderator should make a note on the post, and a couple of words to explain why this has been done.

For any forum to be successful, there must be free exchange of information. We should not throw the baby out with the bath water.

How else do you suppose we teach said baby to swim?

The problem is, who decides what is truly offensive and to whom. Almost everyone may not like what was posted, but that doesn't mean that it isn't the least bit valid (and it may not be) or have any merit at all to the poster or others who haven't spoken up. It's censorship and I know that in of itself is very offensive to a lot of people. Just be careful about what is censored or you may find your posts deleted by someone who doesn't like them. Kevinng is right about not throwin the baby out with the bathwater. I'm not taking any sides in this one as I have no experience with WF. Just a thought.

points are all made

kill this one too

Well, okay. I'll take my piece of humble pie and eat it in the corner... I did not mean to rock the boat, only to demonstrate how out of line that thread was. Since Blueman33 is choosing not to address any of it any more it's a mute point.

Leonid feel free to delete this thread. I don't want to be thought of as a troublemaker, especially since I am new here and can see how much class most people have.

I think Bluesman was thinking there was just One master list and that these virtual diamonds are in one particular spot. In reality there are many lists from many cutters and other diamond dealers. These diamonds are in many different locations through out the world. So updating any list just takes time, a few days to weeks. Secondly, Diamond dealers are always looking to update or buy more diamonds for their stores or inventory. They are usually picking the best or whatever they think will sell fastest. What is left on the virtual list is usually pretty picked over already. Of course, there are always new diamonds being put into the lists or for whatever reason a choice diamond has not been picked up online. Bluesman may be thinking that the diamond business is a more controlled business like Fed-Ex or Home Depot, where if you are looking for one particular item, you can locate it in seconds. I think bluesman is just a misinformed newbie like myself,ha, ha!
