Pendant Idea - Diamond with Sapphire Halo??

My original ering was about a .4 diamond. I want to reset into a pendant with a halo. I was considering mixing up the usual diamond halo, and going with a sapphire halo instead. Thoughts? Pics?

A sapphire halo would be sweet!!

I would get really creative and fade the sapphires from really light color at the top of the halo to a really dark color at the bottom. I think that would look killer, I don't have a picture to show you though because I just thought that up...

Might have to do a pear shaped halo to make that work though, and then nestle your diamond at the bottom of the drop...

Or even just do a halo alternating with diamonds and blue sapphires!

I am wondering if the sapphire halo will make the diamond look small - I like the halo idea since it makes the bling look bigger, so I don''t want it to have the opposite effect!!!

Nawww...A 0.40 carat diamond should look awesome in a pendant even without a halo. The halo pendant design itself will add to the overall look making the center stone look larger, and doing sapphires around will make the diamond stand out better, so I don''t think that you can go wrong.

If you really want the center stone to look alot bigger, do a diamond halo around it (not pave) it will decieve the eyes into thinking the pendant is one BIG diamond.

One big diamond is a good look!!! Has any other PS''er done this with a pendant??? I think it works well on the rings, since the center stone is usually larger. I am just worried about the size of the center getting lost in this pendant.
