I don't buy prints so I guess I have nothing to add here. I never liked them with my gold or gemstone jewelry before I was into pearls.

I often feel a simple gold or silver necklace just doesn't have the presence to stand up to a print ... where a nicely chosen strand of pearls has that presence. FlyGirl, I'm grinning about your post

I wear mostly solid color separates. But, I do have a few prints, and I do wear them with pearls.

Was this no pearls with prints discussion in reference to a specific combo? I can see how multicolor pearls may clash with a multicolor print. I love prints so in most of pics I've posted to show me your pearls thread I'm wearing some sort of a print. Here's just one example.

It was in reference to me posting my pearls in What I wore and making a comment on "pearls with prints" because a know it all friend of mine saw me wearing my strand of pearls with a printed blouse in the past and made a comment that pearls with prints were taboo and looked tacky. Obviously she is very silly, and very wrong.

What great photos! They are so much fun to look at. Indeed, prints and pearls do match -- personally, my impression is that one only needs to know how to match them, and clearly you ladies all have a great sense of style (which is probably why you love pearls!).

I was SUPPOSED to see her today, but those plans fell through because of wedding planning. But here is my printed floral tunic with my 2 tahitian strands. I like them together, although taking pictures of my pearls never looks good in my house. Always so washed out
