can anyone help me find a more modern twist on a pearl necklace. i saw a gorgeous one this past weekend at an art gallery?? but my only description is that it was like flattened out pearl discs? could be multiple strands.
Most have a slightly rugged surface that brings up slight variation of color and orient beautifully, much like it happens for baroque pearls. Some of the 'flat' freshwater pearls are simply superb objects and I have seen fantastic designs with them.
I love the irridescence of coin pearls and the shape is so wearable.
Yvel uses lots of coin and keshi pearls, but there is allot more and allot cheaper. This is just a random name.
