I have a fiend who is getting ready to reset her diamond w/ two pear shaped stones (.50-.75) I am familiar w/ the nuiances of rounds and cut - but what are the specs for pear shape. I read that the length to width ratio should be 1.5-1.75. In looking at some stones, it appears that the depth % needs to be below 61% to fall w/in these parameters. Do the table% & depth percentage need to be closer to one another on a pear? Any thoughts? She has insisted on no bow tie - am I wrong to assume you are going to that effect - but can only limit it.
