Hi all
Hoping I can get some advice.
Hoping to purchase a pear loose diamond 1.7-1.9 carat in the future for 9-10 k USD if possible or is this too low ?Trying to figure out what the price would be for a very good pear diamond. Would have to be eye clean and white but after that I'm not sure what stats should I be looking for ? Not looking for top spec.
Many thanks if anyone can advise and give me an example. Thanks again

Pears are tricky & you really need to view them. What looks perfect on paper might not please your eye due to the cut. Some pears have a crushed ice effect, or a bow tie etc. For me when I was searching for mine, I went to the dealers to look at loose stones in person & went from there.

You are really more in the 1.5 range with $10k. You need the best cut you can find for a pear because the light return is already reduced due to the
pointed end.

Here are the best 2 I could find at BlueNile (hold the shift key down when you click on the links). You'll need to ask if they are eye-clean

Possible choices from Enchanted Diamonds...ask if eye-clean and see if you can get another/different video. Really hard to tell anything from the videos they
have.

I just sent you the info on the antique pear. That is a truly amazing stone that in my opinion, blows away ANY modern cut pear.

Thanks a mil
