Paved undergallery or not

I plan to reset my ring from it's current setting. I am now looking at a few new settings with a single halo after realizing a double halo would be too much for my finger. I'm looking for something a little different so I have come across settings with pave in the undergallery. Some have pave on the shank, some on the struts or some on both. All have cathedral heads of what looks to be varying heights. How often is the undergallery of a ring seen? Just wondering if it's a waste of money to get a fancier undergallery. Thanks.

My ring has 3-sided pave as well as diamonds on the struts and donut.
It's totally worth it as this is the view you see most often when you wear your ring. Personally I do not stack this ring as I am afraid it will damage the diamonds in the gallery.
