I have several pieces, different shapes, sizes and colors, anyone know the best place to advertise it for sale. Ebay seems too risky.

Also, looking for 3 carat tanzanian ruby...any suggestions? Has anyone seen or heard of Patroke Kunzite? thanks!

It apparently is in the right place now! I haev no idea how you''d sell colored gems other than ebay or through a colored gem dealer on consignment, or something.

I''ll let someone else answer your other questions as I don''t know who carries the best rubies. What I do know is that a 3 ct. ruby of good quality will cost as much as a luxury car (or more)!

I think the tanzanians are relatively inexpensive in comparison to others....it''s just finding the material that is challenging.

Are they rough or cut stones? If they are rough, I might be interested in them

I have 2 Patroke Kunzites and they are stunning. Exceptionally clear and beautiful deep lavender orchid color.

What colors are the Mozambique copper bearing tourmalines?

Can you post pictures?

I have an assortment of colors but my favorites are purple.

I love all colors but really love the purple/violet stones. I have a 32ct and an 18ct with some inclussions. I would say VS. I have a 34ct greenish/blue and a 17ct bluish green along with smaller 5 to 8 ct assorted colored stones and one neon 3ct blue. Most are poorly natiive cut but the material is great and they were cheap.

Regards,
Maurice

I really like the Kenyan Lake Borrango (S?) Ruby. It is more hot pink but is vivid.

Maurice,
Have you seen one in person? I''ve been offered a few and am wondering what they look like in real life. Red with hot pink secondary?

I have one at home. It''s only 1.34cts but it is very nice. I bought it from a cutter that was banned from here so I can''t say who. The stone is VIVID pink/Red. It''s on the border of Ruby - Pink Sapphire.

Regards,
Maurice

Wow Maurice,

You do already have quite the collection - I too have a few larger stones, 30 ct blue green, 17 ct green blue, 19 ct blue green, a 24 ct peach pink which is spectacular, and manay many in the 1-6 ct range in various colors and shapes on the mozamique stuff.

As far as the ruby...i would love to see it too!

Thanks, Maurice. I might pick one up. The Paraiba will just have to wait.

If you can tell by the cutting, it''s the same cutter as widget''s paraiba.
