Glad to hear there are incoming stones! I am excited for you and can’t wait to see the ring. Just pack up the old one and drop it off and send money. After that, the waiting is the hardest part!
Have you chosen a three stone setting?
I read a couple of times today that the price of gold is falling, not sure how that's going to work out for PSers but it seems a bit strange.
So, the stone will be sent out on Monday! Yeah!
I have a pretty good idea what I want for a 3 stone. I'm planning on yellow gold with white gold heads/prongs. Something like
this...Its a trellis setting that I've modified to have baskets. May or may not add small donuts.
Edit...I also have to buy another .46 stone. The one I currently have is a "J". Wonder if I could do an "I" or if I need to stick with both
the same color?

... It's not good for anyone, ...
Ooh, that reminds me,I just panic bought a leg of Jamon Iberico de bellota. At least I’ll eat well while Rome is burning.
I can’t play a fiddle anyhow.
Ooh, that reminds me,
You still owe me some of that ham.![]()
I really like that and like that the center stone has six prongs. Who will do the setting?
I know that others have had different color side stones. Since they are smaller, the color difference might not matter at all.
Very nice! I would add donuts. We talked about this a lot in @bee24 thread about her three stone.
I think you can easily go I color, my five stone diamonds are at KL and I can’t tell them apart. I also have an HI pair of OECs and they look identical. These are all GIA graded. I think it’s more of a mind clean thing.
DK will be doing the setting. I got a decent quote late last year, but I bet it's gone up since then!
HI:
Bought an SUV. TARRIFS are coming.![]()
cheers--Sharon

Did you receive the diamond?
I did! And she's a Keeper! She's an Expert Selection 1.71 I/SI1. Not much bigger than my 1.66 K, but I can appreciate the lack
of tint (even though I love my K 90% of the time).
Diamond | 1.716 ct I SI1 Expert Selection Round Cut Loose Diamond AGS Certified | 2671389
This fabulous 1.716 carat Round Ideal cut diamond has a clarity grade of SI1 and color grade of I.It is an excellent choice for engagement rings. | 2671389www.whiteflash.com
Here she is with my .46 J stone next to her. The .46 is in a pendant I'm trying to cover up to get a better size idea. Not a great
picture...its in the clear plastic container from WF that holds the stones flat. I'll have to get some better pictures!
My next move is to get another .46ish stone and get it all in the mail to DK. I'm ready to get this done and enjoy!

These are the dream proportions!!
I've looked at this thread about a billion times trying to figure out what I want...Sometimes I think bigger then other times I think these
proportions are perfect...indecision and over analyzing have been my mode of operation lately. Its so easy when you're advising on
someone else's pieces but when it comes to my own ???
I thought I'd start us a thread. 3-stone rings seem to be a bit less 'popular' than the large door-knocker solitaires (though there's nothing wrong with those, either!!)...so I thought maybe some of you would enjoy playing in this sandbox with me...
Here is mine....it currently resides on my engagement finger, as my sapphire engagement ring from 21 years ago is lost....until we get another one made up, this one was given to my by my Sweetie to keep my ring finger warm.
2ct RB centre, 2 x 1/2 ct RB sides. All 3 are H in colour, VS1 (centre stone) VS2 (side stones) White gold head, yellow...

Thanks for you input @Dreamer_D ....keep an eye out for my CADs. I'd like your input on those too!
I will look out!
I also struggled with proportions for my three stone. I went with smaller sides. They are 0.30 and 4.3mm. I like the look a lot. But I’m also thinking of larger sides in the future. Smaller sides looks a “precious” to me now. Delicate. It makes me think of the blush of youth. Larger sides feels mature. Balanced. More blingy lol. So I love these .47s with your new stone. It’s a mature and bold look.
Well, at my age, I am mature, @Dreamer_D, but I dont know about bold!![]()
