Pandora, the race to the bottom ?

cheap (as in cheaply made) but overpriced is my only experience buying pandora, when i needed a couple of silver stacking rings and brought some way overpriced daisy charms with CZ's in them

are they going to make man made diamonds worthless in the race to the bottom ?
i looked at some of their prices
their add keeps popping up on you tube

the prices of earth diamonds were in some cases similar or less at the mall jeweller

I think their quality is awful and their prices are not cheap: I'm lead to believe that Pandora LGD jewellery will be crappy and expensive for their quality as well as their CZ&silver jewellery.
But I'm surrounded by people who are crazy about Pandora...not only teenagers, but every woman (also in their 60s) wears Pandora jewels, so I guess buying Pandora LGDs will be the next trend.

I too do not have any Pandora jewellery as I refuse to pay that much for just a base bracelet in Silver!

I also find them too girlie/frivolous for my liking. Each to their own and all that.

For fashion jewellery, I prefer Nomination and wear one of their basic bracelets nearly all the time.

I have never found Pandora appealing, and I'm halfway through my sixties. I still wear about a third of what my parents gave me in my youth - mom loved shopping for jewelry, so we got it for Christmas and occasionally birthdays. As an adult I have been on a pearl bender, buying mostly from Takahashi and Andrew Moline. I inherited some of my mom's jewelry - most of it isn't madly me, but some, even things I thought I'd never wear (emerald halo earrings, yay!) have made it into the rotation.

So I have, to put it mildly, an eclectic collection, of which Pandora will never be a part. No shade on those who like it - as always, YMMV.

I bet Pandora will have great success with their LGD jewellery because, though I don't like the brand quality (just my taste and my opinion), I have to admit that their selling strategies are brilliant.
I see Pandora as fast jewellery : people are crazy over them because, as fast fashion,
- they make new charms at every season; Xmas limited editions are considered very desiderable
- their prices are considered affordable: a bracelet charm costs "only" 50 € (but at the the end you pay 50 € for 2 g of silver ...like Tiffany or other big brands)
- people collect and wear charms that speak to them and somehow tell their "story" such as special events like birthdays, Xmas, a new born baby...

I think Pandora will be able to persuade people that 2 g of 14kt gold and some LGD chips are worth 400€ or more.

Another fast jewellery brand I don't find appealing is Dodo by Pomellato
Same selling strategies but their target is higher income people and the Italians are crazy over their charms though their quality is really bad.
Again just my taste and my opinion.

ive never 'got' charm bracelets although i did used to buy the odd silver charm as a pendent, in my youth, from the revolving cabinet on the jeweller's counter , those were descent hefyt silver
i only brought my pandora charms when i was looking to build my daisy necklace (its on a sow burn) they were like NZ$100 on a good day
then i discovered these $20 knock offs nd honestly i could not tell the diffeence which shows me what a rip off pandora is and ts not well made

im not impressed pandora is popping up everywhere

oh i forgot i own some Donald and Daisy Duck charms, they were on clearence, i got a really good deal from a local supplier
i brought them because of Donald and Daisy, i have loved Donald my entire life and how could i not buy Daisy
i did not buy them because they were pandora
now i dont know what to do with them
it costs $50 to get the jeweller to put the little silver disks on to make the hole thinner

(I thought Pandora was an Italian brand founded in the 2000s).

I just expressed my opinion: I don't like their quality and, budget wise, Pandora is not cheap because they sell silver jewels at 25€/g.

I have a couple of their bracelets and charms that were gifted to me over the years. I did purchase some beads second hand to finish out one of the bracelets. I think they are expensive for what they are, but I also think that of Tiffany silver, so…. I think they can be pretty or they can be chop-block juvenile looking. I haven’t worn mine for a while. I can’t speak to their current quality since it has been years since they have been in my regular repertoire.
