Pandora Cameo Dangles--what are they carved out of?

I was wondering what the Pandora cameo dangles are carved out of--is it plastic?

I have no idea, but I would expect it to be molded, not carved. I would guess glass of some sort, but that is just a guess.

ETA - ok, google first, guess latter. Acording to some retailers, it is agate/onyx.
