I''ve been having quite a frustrating experience with my engagement ring! Of course, the actual engagement was wonderful, but I''m getting tired of things going wrong with the ring!!!
I suppose I should start where it all began. After my FH and I got engaged (and gazing at my lovely ring), I noticed that the diamond was set a bit crooked in the prongs. So I emailed the company (Danforth Diamond) that FH purchased it from and they offered to repair it. I also requested that it be sized smaller (from a 5 1/2--> 5 3/4) because it was a bit loose on my finger. When I got it back, the stone setting looked great, but the band was really crooked and uneven after the sizing. Frustrated, I contacted them once again, and they offered to replace the band. I accepted, and was satisfied upon receiving it...until now, about three weeks later...
It has begun to turn a slight shade of yellow. I have cleaned it with a toothbrush and cleaner, and it still has this appearance. I checked to make sure they didn''t confuse the type of jewelry metal that my ring was made of when they replaced it, and it read PD. I know Danforth uses 950 pd that they receive from Harmony metals. Any idea why this is turning yellow?
