Pairing a platinum band with another band

Hey guys,
I want to buy my hubby a second band to wear with his current wedding band. His current band is a 6 mm platinum band and he really wants a 2 mm titanium band. My only worry is the titanium damaging the wedding band more than a platinum band might. Does anyone know what kind of wear I would be looking at?

Unless the sides of the bands are rough, I don''t think there would be a problem with wear and tear.
