my quest of finding chunky cushion is unsuccessful. So I moved on to another item on my wishlist. I am deciding between these two FCDs. thoughts and comments are greatly appreciated.
I am not set on shape. I just want something other than round since all my pieces are round.

I like the radiant due to the spread. but the color is not as saturated.

Kenny and other fcd experts.... help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The oval is the winner for me. The colour is much nicer and I'd rather give up a bit of size for better colouration.

thanks Chrono.
Does the radiant look very washed out in your opinion?

It looks like a dirty yellow colour. I know that FY isn't going to be strongly coloured but this particular hue on the radiant is not appealing to my eye.

Chrono,
thanks for the quick reply. I am also open to other suggestion if you have any. Budget is 10k. Obviously, the less the better. I am really hoping to be able to find something nice in budget since my quest for chunky cushion and pad sapphire fail miserably.

$10K just for the stone alone? Looks like you also want it to be at least 1 ct, right?

Yes, 10k on stone. I don't care so much about tcw as long as it has good spread. I want it to be at least 6mm. Don't know if this is possible in y budget

Neil, thanks for the suggestion, but I prefer loose stone since I already have a setting in mind

+1

Keep in mind one GIA color grade covers a wide range.
Saturation and hue can vary a great deal within one color grade, and this affects the price.

Though GIA graded both Fancy, the oval has saturation that seems near Fancy Intense, while the radiant has saturation that looks near Fancy Light.
Also the hue itself of the oval looks cleaner and prettier to me.
BTW I've bought 20 FCD from this vendor, am a photographer myself, and can testify that this vendor has very accurate pictures.

Yes the oval is 68.5% deep while the radiant is 58.5% deep so the radiant has a better face-up for the carat weight.
Still, I'd rather look at a more attractive stone with a smaller face-up.
For me FCDs are ALL about the color not the size.

Kenny, thanks for the reply. I really appreciate it. I currently have these stones on hold. But if you have other suggestions as far as stones that might be what I am looking for, please let me know.

:appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: Radiant I'm jealous

i cannot decide between the oval and the one kenny suggested. what do you all think? i have old lady eyes, so they bth look equally beautiful.
