Fist off I am in love with your rings! I am interested in possibly doing a cushion sapphire much like AJ's paired with a wedding band like Coati's. I was wondering now that you all have had the rings a few weeks and months how you were liking them. Beach-I saw one post where you said it was so delicate you were afraid it would bend, do you still feel that way? Do you wear your rings all the time or just occasionally? What problems have popped up? Do they catch on things?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

I love it and have worn it everyday since it arrived!! A cushion sapphire would be stunning! It is delicate but I am no longer worried about it bending. I am just so used to 3mm bands

My jeweler noticed it and said how much he loeved it too. He was very impressed by the design and fine detail. It is perfect as an ering or a RHR too!! No problems catching on things. I plan on getting other JM rings in the future!

Thanks for responding. Do you sleep in this ring? I know it''s a weird question but I generally leave all my jewelry on all the time...so I''m curious.

Yep. I keep my rings on :) I think it measures about 1.8mm and it is all platinum. Jim will be getting back from Italy soon so you should contact him

Well I won't be in the market for the setting till later this year but I want to buy the stone in a few months and to do that I need to be pretty set on which ring I am gonna go with as If I do a halo ring I would get a smaller mm sapphire than if I do this JM piece. I am so glad you sleep in it and everything and it's no problem! Do you wear a wedding band with it? If so could i see a pic? Also, what mm is your stone? I have largish hands 7.5, but they are very small. I know that sounds weird. I suppose they are fat...but short, and at least to me they don't look squat, just little. I'm sure that makes no sense with a large ring size!

Is there anything you would have wanted to know prior to getting the ring that you didn't?

Edit:I just read through your thread and saw this is a rhr. I'd imagine that nix's a wedding band with it!

I have Coati''s James Meyer ring with a round sapphire. I don''t sleep with mine on, but I don''t wear any jewelry to bed. Jim told me the shank measures 2mm. I am not worried about it bending it all because although it is narrow widthwise, it is thick depthwise if that makes sense. However, I do tend to like a bit wider rings, so that would be my one criticism of it. I wish the shank was wider than 2mm. Mine has never caught on anything.

A wedding band would work with it!

ditto beach.
love it, love it, would not change a thing.
Absolutely no chance of it bending as long as you treat it like any other piece of fine
jewellery (ie. no cleaning, gardening etc - common sense things).
They are very very well made - both visually and structurally.

I don''t wear mine to bed, but I don''t wear any jewellery to bed/in the shower etc..

I wear mine "every other day" as I interchange it with my diamond ering - hasn''t caught or banged
on anything yet.
No wedding band as not married yet, but you can see some pics of it with an art carved band in my thread, which I think works really well.
But if this were my ering, I would want a JM custom band too.
