I''ve read so many of your wonderful ideas I''m wondering if you posted photos from your big day? I tried to check through your postings quickly and the sticky post of PS weddings but I didn''t see anything

Any way you can link to the post where you shared photos of your day (assuming you did one)?

I didn''t even know about Pricescope when I had my wedding...and have very few pictures online, unfortunately.

But, I''ll post the ones I do have...

This is a good picture to see my dress...it was a Justin Alexander Coutour gown...and I loved it...first dress I ever tried on.

On the right in the picture was my Matron of Honor Laura, she''s wearing the brown....on the left was my reader Megan, she''s wearing the buttercream.

My cake was a mosaic fondant cake. They used 24kt edible gold powder to create the glow. It was banana split flavor...with chocolate and vanilla cake, fresh strawberries, bananas, and raspberries.

This is a link to the videographer we used, REM. I will try to upload my video at some point...but you can get a general idea of his work from this....

This was our bridal party...

Our wedding was hosted at the Hilton. We had a lot of out of town guest. Upon their arrival they were treated to a bottle of wine, cork screw, hand written note, and wine bottle jewelry.

We invited over 500 people, and end up hosting slightly under that.

I went with a monochromatic gold theme...everything from chocolate to buttercream

We had a cigar roller, martini louge, sweets table, white, dark and milk chocolate fountain that featured pound cake, strawberries, pretzels, brownies, marshmellows, gramcrackers, and bananas dippers, as well as a flavored coffee bar.

Our tables were named after different types of coffee

Our guest recieved gift certificates to Starbucks coffee as a favor

Each name card was hand embossed and decorated with swavorski crystals by a local caligrapher

We had our monogram light up the dance floor

We hosted an after party in the presidental suite

And the following morning we hosted a private champange brunch for all of our guests who stayed at the hotel

Oh, Italia, that sounds just magnificent!

and your dress--my goodness, you must have felt like SUCH a princess! absolutely lovely!

I will most definitely be asking for your advice as I start planning more--you really know your stuff!!!!

That dress was the bain of my exsistance, actually.

After pictures, as I walking into the hotel to get bustled, a cocktail waiter stepped on my train and ripped the *** out of my dress

. I had a total and complete meltdown...I was dropping f bombs and everything. I hadn't even made it to my cocktail hour and my dress was seriously damaged. Thank god for wedding planners, and my new Aunt Nancy (DH aunt)...she literally sewed me back up in the bathroom!!!

I still get sick thinking about it.

My SIL took those photos...I used to have multiple CD''s of pictures she gave me...I will try to hunt more down....

Italia, that''s a wild story about your dress. But everything sounds incredible. Was your wedding in Chicago? In the suburbs? Please post more pictures :)

Thank you so much for sharing!!!!

Your dress was jaw dropping and I am glad that you were able to put it back together with some help! I would have started to bawl immediately.

Your wedding sounds (and looks) absolutely stunning! If I could have my dream wedding it would have probably been yours

Amazing!!
Thank you Keeping...i appreciate the kind words.

With my wedding, I was fortunate to not have a set budget. However, I did get really good deals on a lot of things...and I learned a lot. I love everything about weddings--from the planning, to the vows, and the party afterward. And of course, I''ll be more than happy to help you pull ideas together as well!
