#TBT Padparadscha & Diamond Ring

My latest project -- custom made pad sapphire and diamond ring - 1.66 cts of diamonds, with a 5.65 pad centre, created by the amazing and wonderful Damasci Jewelers in Toronto. It's a hybrid of their Arosa collection double halo design. As is so often the case, it's near impossible with a regular digital camera to get a photo that really captures the beauty of the ring...but here are a few pics. Hope you like it!

Yes, the design process is done by CAD and they certify their stones. Sam and Marc, the owners/designers, are wonderful to work with. I was so pleased with the craftsmenship and attention to detail.

I'll try to do a photo shoot this weekend. It's truly frustrating trying to get a half-way decent pic, no matter how hard I try. Attached is a pic of the 'Arosa' design, which is the exact style of my ring, including the diamonds along the shank, as well as the CAD renders. In real life, it has beautiful depth and amazing sparkle.

I wore it into Tiffany this past weekend, to view their annual traveling 'Blue Book' exhibit of couture jewelry, and the staff gushed over my ring!! I almost felt embarrassed for some reason... In truth, I didn't expect it to be turn out quite so blingy, but I'm learning to live with it...
