Is the pacific gemalogical laboratory reputable? A search on this site reveals that no one has mentioned them before.

I'm not familiar with them, but a good way to check them out would be to call three jewelers in that area and ask their opinion of them as appraisers. Tell them you're looking for a top notch independent appraiser with impeccable credentials and a good reputation.

Local jewelers are usually "in the know" as to who's good and who's not.
