Hello, all,
What is the best way to test a diamond with "very strong blue fluorescense" for whether it will be hazy or milky in direct sunlight if you are viewing the diamond on a cloudy day?
I have fallen in love with a diamond with "very strong" fluorescense, but it was cloudy today and forecasted to be cloudy for the next several days. I am on a tight timeframe and am seeking a way to gain comfort that this diamond will not be hazy or milky once I get it out into direct strong sunlight.
If I test it with a UV fluorescent light bulb, would that show the same haziness or milkiness? Would it overstate the haziness or milkiness that I would actually see in regular daylight?
Thanks for your help!
