Oval opinion?

SO my oval will be here in a couple more days. I'm pretty content with the look of it in the 360 but didn't know anything about stones before picking it. I have thirty days to return from delivery. I'm super sensitive to color. I can see it in a stone from across the room. I'm also pretty sensitive to inclusions so went with higher clarity. Finally, dead set on ovals. It's never been anything but an oval. I noticed there is a bow tie effect in my oval, but I realize that finding one without it is tricky. Further, the ring is one I will never replace, upgrade or sell. Still, I'm concerned now. Is this a severe or minimal bowtie? How is the stone in general? How do I find the facet pattern or even how many there are? I keep seeing all these specific measurements but don't know where to find them. It will be in a rose gold solitaire setting with platinum prongs. Thoughts and opinions are much appreciated.

Read some of the threads/post over the last few days about Ovals.
It seems that the winner is the Oppulent Oval.
Good luck

My definition of a bow-tie is a dark area through the center of the stone. This stone has a minimal bow-tie in my opinion.
It looks to be an 8 main offset from center. What numbers are you referring to?

I wish the table was a little smaller though.

Edit...I think you should wait until you get it and check it out. Is the ring for you?

I've read through the last few days of oval posts. I've looked at the opulence ovals, and they're beautiful, but so are many 'regular' ovals, but thank you for your opinion. I'm looking for opinions on this stone

The measurements I mentioned seeing are crown height, crown angle, pavilion depth, and pavilion angle. I keep reading that these are all important to consider but don't see them on my stones GIA in the link. Tyty333, Thank You! I didn't even know what facet arrangement the stone has. I thought a 63% table was at the edge of excellent for an oval? How does it affect the stone in relation to its depth? I ran it through some enchanted stones calculator, and it returned a score of 87.5 - excellent. I just don't put much stock in it I guess since the algorithm for the calculator is a brand specific 'secret.'

I'm going on looks. It'll be my stone until I die and then will go to one of my girls, so it isn't so much the investment as it is how it makes me feel. My significant issues were whiteness, clarity, scintillation, and how severe the bow tie will be. I'd also like to stay close to 1ct but just under. I don't want to pay for the minuscule jump from .9 to 1. I should have it in two more days and can return if it doesn't make me giddy. I guess I'm just getting antsy.

Looks decent, but I would never trust an evaluation of the bowtie unless I had a video or could examine the stone IRL. If you don't like it, you can return it to BN.

Thanks :),
The 360 video is in the above hyperlink for blue nile. It seems that the dark area i see disperses well when the stone spins but i dunno. Im starting to think that the only way to really evaluate it is to see it in person. The more I look at it though the happier i am with it. Hopefully it'll match or exceed my expectations. One more day :). .

I wish you luck. But if they doesn’t work, I would reconsider he opulence ovals. With most ovals you are almost already settling because you’re looking for a bow tie that isn’t prominent. Who wants a diamond that just doesn’t haven’t a promInent bow tie. Wouldn’t you rather have a stunning super sparkly no eye-sore bow tie stone? It’s just that once I see a bow tie it NEVER goes away. It only comes back more intensely. It’s like having a rock in your eye. Over time it gets more irritating. Just my 2c.

I really appreciate those of you who took the time to give experienced advice. The ring was delivered this morning and I couldn't be happier. It's absolutely stunning. I can't see a bow-tie at all. If its there my untrained eye doesn't notice it. It's a really brilliant stone. It sparkles something fierce inside or in the shade and is blinding white outside in full Arizona sun. It's definitely a keeper for me. Please don't mind my wrinkly hands. Also, I dont know how to make the pictures smaler. I'll keep trying. Sorry about how big they are.
