Hi everyone. I''ve been working with Charles from Good Old Gold (he''s been great), looking for a great oval. He created the video that I''ve linked below, and I was interested in people''s feedback. I''m interested in a Tacori setting (with a Halo, #2620), as my GF loves them.

Thank you in advance!

edited.
Managed to view the video.
I keep losing track of which stone I'm looking at, so I gave up.

75-80% table seems excessive with a steep crown angle.
The normal purpose of a large table (with shallow crown) is to increase brightness. But the purpose of a steep crown (with small table) is to increase fire.

Those table %'s listed in that column are wrong. Sorry about that as its a database prob in my system for fancies.

Chaz did the clip so I'll review it and see if its confusing. If so I'll redo it for clarification.

I think if I list the stones 1-5 in the description it'll help as I just reviewed it.

When I looked at the stones in the video, I thought that the table sizes appeared to be smaller than 75-80%, but it's late (23:44 UK time) and my eyes are tired.....

Apart from a big bowtie on one of them, they were generally looking OK (but with some variaiton in their "character", in the short time that I looked at them.

A little number underneath each stone would be useful......

Great, thank you very much, I appreciate it.

Can you post the images please?

I think I prefer the second oval looking at the images, which does Charlie prefer? Also what is the situation with the bow ties? If you are unfamiliar with this term, it refers to the dark bow tie shaped area running across the middle of the stone, this can be seen particularly in the first ASET as the blue area across the diamond. These are commonly seen in elongated fancy shapes and images don't always show the true extent of them, check with Charlie or Jon concerning this.

Thank you so much, I appreciate you taking the time. Do you also see the bow tie effect in the second diamond (''Ring 5'')? Charlie has indicated that he prefers the second one also, I don''t have an opinion from Jon.

Any other comments on the specs or subjective feedback?

Again - thank you so much!

I can''t see so much of a bow tie in the second but I am reluctant to judge these by images as they can be deceptive. Images only capture the diamond in one position or angle and bow ties can show more or less depending on the viewing position of the stone, so it is best to check with a vendor who can see the stone as to how much of a bow tie a stone does or doesn''t show.

And you are most welcome, glad to help!

Lorelei - a new video has been posted of the diamonds. The 3rd and 5th are the ones for which I posted pictures. Would you mind taking a look?

Thank you :)

Not at all, I would be glad to! I will let it load which takes a while on my computer, then come back and post my thoughts for you.

Ok I watched the video and like the last oval best.

Thank you! I think that my budget won''t get me to #5, did you you like #3 also?

I really do appreciate it :).
