Hello everyone, I am having a hard time deciding between a few diamonds and was hoping that someone here, who is more knowledgeable than I, could help me through the process. The diamonds I am considering are listed below:

1) https://www.adiamor.com/Diamonds/1.01-ct-D-FL-Excellent-Cut-Oval-Diamond/D43975639?rfr=wishlist

2) https://www.adiamor.com/Diamonds/1.31-ct-E-VS1-Excellent-Cut-Oval-Diamond/D44298403?rfr=wishlist

3) https://www.adiamor.com/Diamonds/1.30-ct-D-VVS1-Excellent-Cut-Oval-Diamond/D43116957?rfr=wishlist

Any suggestions or alternatives anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

E VS1 sounds reasonable. I am finding this type of video confusing.

Unless you have seen fluorescence & you know you hate the thing, how about www - I expect good things from the very small table & girdle thickness looks acceptable to me. Then, www .

This is not small: www

Adiamor videos are very hard to evaluate. It would help if they were at an angle. Have you looked to see if these stones are a James Allen or
Blue nile. They both have better videos that are easier to evaluate.

Here is the E/VS1 at JA. I do not recommend it.

Couldnt find the other two stones.

I'm pretty sure the D/FL is going to have the same faceting as the E/VS1 above so I would give that a No also.

Your D/VVS1 is going to have faceting more like this one. This one has more "good" facets that return light well
than the other two you posted IMO.

What you want to see is more nice facets lighting up towards the rounded end as the stone turns. The inner hour glass
shape are nice facets. In a well-cut oval you can see more nice facets light up as the stone turns in the
area of the middle of the hour glass.

Cant tell if your D/VVS1 will have more good facets as it turns.

Here is a stone that lights up well under the table. Wish I still had the link to this stone but what you would see is
more nice facets lighting up as the stone turned.

With ovals (and most fancy cuts) the most important thing is to find a stone where it maximizes the facets that light up throughout the stone.
You are somewhat limiting yourself to well cut ovals by sticking to high clarity/color. I would suggest allowing yourself to go down to VS
clarity (since they all should be eye-clean).

Heres a few stones to show you what some stones look like with lively centers...

I'm not recommending these stones...just pointed out so that you can see what a nice center looks like and what you should be looking for.
Note the BlueNile stones are flooded with light so they tend to look better than JA stones (or Adiamor stones).

Thanks TyTy, your posts are very helpful. I don't know why, but I find it very difficult to identify liveliness or the quality of the cuts. Maybe I have just been looking at stones for too long and need to take a couple of days off. Here is one from Blue Nile that I thought looked promising, but I would love to get your feedback as I don't fully trust my own judgement:

The above stone falls into the good (but not best) situation for me. Its got a wide area of nice facets but no nice facets lighting up as it turns.

Here is a turned shot where I'm not seeing additional facets lighting up.

Front of stone shows wide area of nice facets. So if I couldnt find a stone that had more going on when the oval turned this
would be my next choice. Not a bad stone...but could be a touch better.

Thanks once again, you have a very good eye as it is difficult for me to catch angles of minimal light refraction. Below are a few more options that I found while trying to take into account your advice. Could you take a look at these and let me know you feel any would outperform the one mentioned above? I promise that this will be my last request. Being able to get feedback on the comparisons is incredibly helpful and I should be able to to a better job of looking for myself going forward once I get a better idea of what to look out for.
