Ive finally got the oval in hand! I really am pleased with it! It has a bowtie but from my untrained eye it does not look dark, it is very light but it is there across the belly.
I tried to upload a video but was unabke to to so...
Ive got the diamond to be set in due course, should i get the diamond checked over to make sure it was'20171111_122115.jpg 20171111_122150.jpg t damaged in transit?

Congrats! Beautiful stone from your pictures. It's always a good idea to check out any stone after you receive it.

Beautiful oval! Congrats.

Beautiful stone. The bow tie is beautiful as is does not look dark and is very bright. You will love the wide flashes of sparkle it will produce.

Nice! Is this the 1.3ct D-FL oval w/medium fluorescence? Where did you end up purchasing from?

Yes it is, the picture doesn't do it justice. Got it from adiamor.

Very nice! Who is going to set it for you? Make sure they know what they're doing...

I can't seem to take a decent picture of the diamond. Its crisp and clear to the eye but on photos looks dulled?

Im getting concerned as i showed the picture to a jewler and was told its heavily hazy and that there must be something wrong with it as apparently ive purchased it lower that world diamond price and is insanely cheap for what it is?
Im very busy with work atm so i wont be able to get it looked at for a week, should i try and get it seen earlier just incase its that bad?

I have a few people and companies quoting for work, just awaiting a detailed CAD. Had quotes that do vary by 3k

Was it a jeweller who has their own stock they want you to buy ie a vested interest in disparaging your purchase? You’re the one who can see it in person and can see if it’s sparkly or not. I would take the jewellers opinion with a large grain of salt

Yes it was a speech followed by, "have a look at what we've just got in to compare".

I understand the photo isn't the greatest, it just wont show nicely on camera.

Stunning

I hope you take your diamond back in for comparison.. and its GIA report too ;)

wow, those are amazing flashes of fire!

Um...It does look a bit hazy to me, but of course that may be the videography. Is it fluorescent?

Ive now had it checked by some jewelers and they said the diamond is clear as day and its not been damaged. Compared it to a few they had in stock and was really pleased how mine compared. Should have ring made within the next 3 weeks.

Thanks for everyones input.
