Ordered my first piece of vintage jewelry!!

After many years of looking at antique jewelry, I pulled the trigger on an antique, paste (yes, I know) brooch in silver. I have requested the jeweler to gilt the piece so it can be mixed and matched with other high carat jewelry that is common where I come from. The plan is to convert it in a way to be able to wear it either as a brooch or as a pendant on a chain. The listing says it is either Georgian or Victorian - I really hope it is indeed vintage - owning something from that long back is exhilarating. Imagine all the stories!

The jeweler said it will take a week to gilt it and then shipping might take a week or so. So excited, you guys!
