Hi

any educated oppinions about the following stone?

carat 0.943
diam 6.37x3.85
depth 60.4%
table 54.8%
culet 0.5%
crown 34.3''
pavil 40.7''
girdl 1.3%

for roughly $3800

Gets a 0.8 ex ex ex vg on the hca

but maybe the table with %54.8 is a little bit
too much on the small side?

Thanks for your input

Nils

looks good to me! the table is not too small in proportion to the depth. however if the depth was 65% and your table was 54%..yes that would be scary!

EXCELLENT price for that size stone, what is color/clarity? did you buy offline? the hca score is excellent...have you seen the stone in person? it sounds like a knockout.

alas - always something to forget

Looks very nice to me... Eye-clean?

What's the polish & symetry?

The measurements should have three measurements not two.

Who graded this stone?

Giangi and F&I make very good points. Def get a copy of the Cert plot and discuss the size, type, color, and location of the inclusions with the vendor. Also, find out who graded the diamond. EGL and others tend to more lax/inconsistent in grading than AGS or GIA. For example, a loosely EGL graded diamond may be considered G, SI2 by AGS or GIA.

If this diamond is properly graded and 100% eye clean, you may have found yourself a great performer at a very good price.
