Two of my four bridesmaids, my mom and I went shopping yesterday to look at BM dresses. I originally wanted short, cocktail length dresses to go with a summery feeling for my May 23 wedding. I already knew I want them in fushia/magenta. We went to this wonderful bridal salon and both girls found a collection of dresses they loved. I hadn''t completly decided if they would wear all different styles of the same line or the same, because it''s not something that is too important to me and I figured they could decided between themselves as long as they were simliar enough and the same color.
Anyways, the dresses we liked are chiffon, long, and very floaty. They were so comfortable and flattering on both girls (one larger, one smaller) but my only concern is that they don''t "go" with my wedding dress. These dresses are more grecian style, while my dress has more crisp lines. There was one other dress that I liked a lot, was short and came in the perfect shade of magenta (but so did the others) but neither of the girls really cared for it, and said they didn''t think they would be nearly as comfortable in something short, and it didn''t look as great on both of them as the others.
I''ll attach the pics of both my dress and the bridesmaid dresses (you have to picture them in magenta), so I guess I''m just wondering if anybody thinks they look silly together or if it even matters. I wouldn''t want to make the girls wear something they hated, and they all said they would definitly wear the longer dresses more than once. Ultimately I know it''s my decision, and I really like the ones they like, but I''m not so sure that they are the same style and feel as what I''m going for.

I think that the bridesmaid dress with straps compliments your dress very well without being matchy-matchy.

Who is the maker of those dresses?

Agreed, especially the middle dress! I think the neckline and midsection of your dress and the neckline and ruching on the BM dresses look great together! If you're worried about the grecian feel, could you keep these dresses but shorten them to tea length? This would make the dresses feel more summery, but the overall fit of the dresses would be the same so your BM's would still feel comfortable.

I think the dresses are beautiful and complement your dress quite well. Tea length would be a good compromise, but I really think the flowy Grecian style will look best at floor length.

Thanks ladies! I guess I just needed some outside opinons and I think you''re right- that they will look fine together.

ANNIEE19 - who makes those bridesmaid dresses? Thanks!

I think those bmaid dresses go great with your dress. They have the same sweetheart neckline and cross over at the bust and both have ruching. They come in the perfect color and your bmaids love them -- I think you have a winner here.
