opinions please!!

If of you remember I posted about getting a new setting made and I am asking you for some opinions on....

My new setting is 18kt wg, 4 prong head, and is a cathedral setting. the catch is my prongs, they are little hearts.
I have always loved round diamonds, which I already have in my original set.
But I have been thinking about maybe a princess cut??

What do you guys think??

I know what the round will look like.
I thought maybe it would really make the prongs stand out with the straight edges.

Well a princess cut sounds pretty and it would be a nice change since you''ve had round, but will those heart shaped prongs work on a square stone???

Izzy are the hearts appear in basket as in pic 1, or on the tips of the prongs as in pic 2?

That''s what I was thinking. You generally get the setting after you decide on the stone. Not all settings will work for rounds and princess.

The hearts are the tips of the prongs. example of them would like MM heart shaped prongs.

I asked my jeweler if both styles would work and he said yes.

If you like the look of princess cut stones and that would work in your setting, than I say go for it!!!
