Hello,

I''ve been doing a lot of research for a few months now. Thank God for this site or I''m sure I would have grossly overpaid for a diamond locally. Anyway, I''m in the final process of trying to find a diamond. I have a ring picked out locally and have had them place some different sized diamond in the setting for me so I can see how they look proportionally. In my opinion anything over about 6.4 mm in diameter looks too large for the ring (my girlfriend also thinks so). So I’m looking for a diamond in the 6.0 to 6.4 mm range. Below are links to two diamonds I''m considering. I realize they are a bit different with one being a F color and the other H, plus the size difference but I want to see what some opinions are from the people on this forum. What diamond do you prefer and why? Do you think diamond #1 is worth the additional cost for the larger size but lower quality cut (although still a very good cut).

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

My first question would be is the SI2 eye clean? How about the SI1? To me, that is very important. Secondly, the IS images look good for both stones. I don''t necessarily like girdles that range from thin to thick (stone #1), but that isn''t a big deal.

Both are very nice stones (I bought an Expert Selection stone for my gf so I''m partial to those, they''re a great value). I''m leaning towards stone #2, but like I said, they both look nice.

#2 gets my vote.
h/si is a great combination and the cut is superb.

Forgot to put in that the SI2 is eye clean. In fact if you look at the AGS report there only appears to be some small inclusions. Not really sure why it got an SI2?

Thanks
