Found this ring and it's inexpensive. I love it for the design, and the stones don't look like simulate to me. I thought i would throw the pics out here so get opinions on what type of stone you think it might be, or if it is just 'cz'.

Also, it is set in sterling and I've heard that some of the time natural (real) stones were set in sterling rather than gold, for the cost.

Thanks so much in advance!

Cannot tell anything from a picture about the stones. You will need an appraisal, but I would not be optimistic.

It's very pretty! It's possible they could be white topaz or white sapphire, but as dreamer said, you'd have to have it appraised to know for sure.

I'm going to have it sized, and I'll get the jewelers opinion. Just curious what the consensus was on it possibly being white topaz or sapphire, or any natural stone.

nobody is going to be able to give you a definitive answer from pictures---sorry!

I purchased a ring from e bay with a white stone, and if I remember correctly, a jeweler was able to tell me it was a genuine gemstone but couldn't be more specific just by looking at it. I never pursued it further because it wasn't really important to me to know for sure. let us know what you find out, I'm curious!

Hi. I love the style of this ring, but you must get an appraisal. Good luck.

I love the design and it sure does sparkle! Circumstances make it seem unlikely it's a diamond though. If you get a lot of stuff second hand online it is totally worth investing in a diamond tester. I found a used one for $20 on ebay and as soon as I get something in the mail I test it. My coworker even brought me all her ebay gotten jewelry to work to test.

Has anyone ever quoted themselves before? Hmmm...

Anyway, I just wanted to clarify, the jeweler was able to tell me it wasn't a diamond (which I pretty much knew) but wasn't able to identify what other gemstone it could be. His guess was white topaz or sapphire.

I had the ring checked and sadly it's CZ. However, the bonus is that I'm thinking of using this ring as a model for having a ring made in gold with diamonds. Maybe using citrine side stones at or yellow sapphire. I still love the design and look of it and I've never seen a ring like it.

Thanks for all your opinions and help!

Don't worry about the CZ's. You can wear it and travel with it without worrying. It's very unique! Enjoy your new bauble!
