Hi Lorelei,



She has seen both an F and a G in person and seemed comfortable with both, but definitely did not like the warmth in the H we saw. Knowing that she considers color the most important characteristic, I want to maximize that for her while maintaining a good balance with the other characteristics (and staying in budget

Just to check these were F and G colour graded by GIA or AGS? The type of lab grading the diamonds can make a difference, if these were from either of those two labs then you should be ok with G, see what the appraiser says concerning the colour grade. Some can be borderline and thus be a ' high G' and close to F, others might be a ' low G' and closer to H, see what the appraiser's opinion is.
 
Yes, all the stones she saw were GIA graded.
