Can I please get opinins on this stone, based on the pic and info I have here. I ran the numbers on the HCA, and came up with a 2.0 when I used the crown/pav depth, and a 2.3 when I used the angles. What do you folks think?

Table: 61.5%
Depth: 59.5%
Crown: 13.0% 35.0°
Pavilion: 43.0% 40.7°

The pic shows a hint of green, but the seller assures me it's a pure yellow. It's graded as Vivid.

I love the pix of the stone your considering!... now as to if it's good I'm not sure as I'm learning.. but I love round, yellow diamonds. If you buy it, how do you plan to set it? High Performance Diamonds has a video on here or Mr. Wink's site that shows the most beautiful setting with a yellow diamond.. prongs are yellow gold and the ring plat. I think (or white gold) and the engraving is beautiful.. I have never seen such a beautiful ring.. before this I never even THOUGHT of a yellow diamond.. hope the experts like the stone your considering!

this is a 2ct round.. it's beautiful!

Based on the picture, I would definitely be concerned of the color as it does appear to have quite a bit of green.

If that's the case, it's a bonus (in terms of rarity and value).

I do not like looking at colored stones on a black background. I would reserve judgement until receiving additional shots on white.

I agree, I can't tell anything on the black background. Need pictures on white! But it does appear to have some leakage based on the black showing through. This may be one that has to be seen to be sure.

Whether or not it's a bonus depends on the person purchasing the diamond. Personally, I don't care for yellows with too much green, which means that while a stone may be more rare & valuable, it would't matter to me as much as finding a stone with the right color based on my personal preference. OP mentioned the hint of green & said that seller assured her it was pure yellow, which implies that she's not looking for a yellow with a greenish tint.
Best of luck on your search for a yellow, OP - keep us posted =)

That's my concern, the leakage. I'm wondering how bad it really is, and if I'll even see it in a yellow. I know colored stones are cut for color, but this one isn't too far off from an ideal cut.

Hi,

I hope this diamond comes with a GIA cert that verifies it is a natural diamond without treatments. Radiated yellow diamonds often have that greenish tinge to them. Please check this out.

Do you have a head on picture of the diamond in the setting instead of the side view?
