Hi All, :wavey:
Can you please give me your advice on these specs below for a Round-GIA stone? I'm ideally looking for 2 carat (8.2mm). My local jeweler showed me this stone and while it looked nice it scored poorly on the HCA. Your opinions and advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you much!

GIA:
Measurements: 8.09 - 8.18 x 5.01 mm
Carat Weight: 2.01 carat
Color Grade: J
Clarity Grade: SI2
Cut Grade: Very Good
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Very Good
Depth: 61.6%
Table: 59%
Crown Angle: 33.5°
Crown Height: 13.5%
Pavilion Angle: 42.0°
Pavilion Depth: 44.5%
Star Length: 45%
Lower Half: 80%
Girdle: Thin to Slightly Thick, Faceted (3.5%)
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None

not so good...flat top, deep bottom half and out of round.

While this is not the only possible set of options that work, these measurements usually help you find an excellent/ideal cut diamond:

table: 54-58

depth: 60-62.3

crown angle: 34-35.0

pavilion angle: 40.6-41.0

Thank you so much Dancing Fire and Diamondseeker, I just had to know what was wrong with it. I'll stick with these guidelines and work with a PS vendor. I thought I can try a local jeweler but I was so wrong. More expensive and lower quality!
Thanks again!

Unless you have someone in the family that could cut you an awesome deal, this is true most of the time. Good luck with your search!
