Opinions on wedding rings

Hi everyone,

I'd like some opinions on some weddings bands. I've looked at a couple of half-eternities, one with princess diamonds and one with round diamonds, a plain platinum band, and a couple with scattered diamonds. Let me know what you think. I really want something that complements the e-ring without taking focus from it.

I would personally go for either the round or princess cut diamond band. I think it would look great with your ring.

Some more:

Definitely the second one. It adds to your e-ring, makes it a more stunning whole, looks like just the right size to add bling but not take away from your e-ring. The plain band IMO does not add nor take away. The scattered band does not in my opinion fit well with your engagement ring, like they were different styles. The forth band looks nice if maybe a bit overwhelming and I can't say I like the third photo.

Oh geez, I'm so bad at this...I like them all! But I keep going back to the second one you posted...I guess I like the bit of bling, and I also like how classic and elegant it looks.

I agree i like the second one. I tend to like wedding bands that are the same width as the ring shank of the e-ring or perhaps even thinner.

Thanks for the opinions, ladies. How does the second band compare to this one?

The diamonds in the second one go around further, no? I prefer that look.

As someone who's been going through the w-ring search recently and is now on her third ring (yikes!) I'd say just go with what feels right for you. It's nice to get the support of everyone on here, but it's what you want since you'll be the one wearing it!

It's close, but I still like the second one the best.

Don't you find that if they go around further there's too much of a clash with the plain platinum of the e-ring?

The problem is I really can't decide, which is why I want people's opinions. I love eternities, on their own. I just can't seem to find one which I think looks great with my e-ring.

I like the 3rd one in the line-up!

That's interesting. Could you tell me what you like about it? The scattered diamonds or how the metal goes with the e-ring metal?

I don't think there is a clash between the diamonds and the metal, I actually really don't like it when the diamonds stop on the top of the finger or when the end of the "eternity" is visible from the top. Personally I think there are few better combinations then diamonds and platinum and really like the look of a solitaire with an eternity band, and I think the diamonds on the band, whether they go all the way around or just half way, tie the whole look together.

Have you tried princess eternity bands? You might like having matching diamond shapes.

The fourth picture I have on here is a princess eternity.

I actually like the third one too. The scattered diamonds give that extra enhancement of bling but don't take away from your beautiful engagement ring. I think that an eternity band, while pretty, is so flashy that it often deters from a basic solitaire.

I like the last one that you posted.

That one is my favourite too, but, honestly I don't LOVE anything so far. And it's strange, because I fell in love with my e-ring the second I got it. And I was expecting the same feeling for my wedding ring. I really don't want to get something that I don't love, that doesn't go well with my e-ring, or that might detract from my e-ring. At the same time, I also don't want to get anything that pales in comparison to my e-ring...

Ditto all of this.

The second picture in your first post is really nice. Also the last picture you posted is really nice. Half eternities are really nice because they provide a look like an eternity but you can resize them.

The all look great! I favor the 2nd band. The more diamonds the better! ;))

I thought about it a lot last night and decided that since I'm not crazy about any one of them, I should probably keep looking.

Good thinking!

I've finally made a decision!

I got a 1/3 eternity, with princess cut diamonds (minimum G, VS2), of the same width and thickness as my e-ring band. I ordered it yesterday but they said it'll take 3-4 weeks to make so I just have to wait :((

I'll post pics when I have it.

Glad you made a decision. It sounds pretty; I can't wait to see the pictures. :appl:

Hi mayerling,
I've looked all the pics you've posted and I think what you've chosen sounds lovely and will complement your e-ring perfectly without overpowering it. I'm looking for a wedding band to match my e-ring and so I know where you're at! There are so many choices, it's baffling. I think a band with the same stone cut as your e-ring is timeless and won't date.
Enjoy your new ring!

I think princess cuts is the best choice! Hope you love it when it comes!

The first one - the plain band.
It looks more elegant.

@ Naty and Magda: I've already made a choice, girls, and I'm afraid it's not one of the bands I posted pictures of.
